Communications Manager, East Europe

 
Tetra Pak is looking for experienced Communications Manager who will primarily be responsible for planning, budgeting and executing internal and external communications activities for Tetra Pak in East Europe. The role will require a substantial amount of cross functional cooperation in matrix organization between various geographies and departments including Sales, Marketing, Services, Processing and other support functions. In addition to the alignment at Market level it will also require a structured coordination and liaison across the communications function to ensure consistency and synergies.
 
We are looking for the candidate on a temporary contract (maternity cover) to be based in Tetra Pak office in Warsaw, Poland, with 15-20% of travel. The person will report to Regional Communications Director (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Caucasus, Central Asia & East Europe) and will be an integral part of Cluster Europe and Central Asia Communications Team.
 
What you will do:
Planning and implementing relevant communications initiatives in East Europe market based on local business strategy and global communication plans.
Driving communications activities in the following areas:
Internal communications:
•    Including message development & channel management as part of the local and regional communications framework,
•    Internal messaging,
•    Organization of various internal events and other employee engagement activities,
•    Ensuring that employees receive timely and relevant information about company’s operations.

External communications: plan and execute company’s local/cluster and global agenda in external area including:
•     Public Relations: Including media relations, media event planning and execution, supporting with presentation and speeches, crisis communications, PR agency coordination, etc.
•    Event Management: Including cooperation with internal stakeholders to better position Tetra Pak at events & exhibitions (with a focus on online events) and lead execution and media relations.
•    Public Affairs: Planning and execution of government relations and advocacy activities in support of Tetra Pak’s policy goals, notably in the areas of environment legislation, food legislation, diet and healthy nutrition related policies.
•    Social Media – cooperation with marketing communications team to ensure alignment of the content and synergies of corporate comms and marketing comms plans in SoMe.
•    Campaigns – working together with marketing communications team to ensure 360 campaigns roll-out mainly in the area of sustainability.
 
Who You Are:
Language and Education:
•    Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Linguistic, Business, Marketing and proven track record in communications
•    Polish native with fluent English language skills; knowledge of Hungarian or Serbian language would be a plus
•    Absolute literacy and sensitivity to corporate messaging
 
Professional Skills and Experience:
•    Minimum 8-10 years of relevant communication experience with knowledge of latest trends, communications framework, tools, and processes
•    Internal and External Communications experience
•    Event Management Experience
•    An experience in Public Affairs planning would be a plus
•    Thorough experience in working with external agencies on communications planning and execution
•    Experience in localization of centrally developed campaigns to address local needs would be a plus
•    Interest and proven ability to innovate in communication tactics, especially using digital channels
•    Excellent writing, public speaking and presentation skills
•    Thorough experience in working with Microsoft Office

•    Business minded with ability to understand the dimensions of business strategy, activities, performance and direction and develop communications activities to support
•    Strong team player with an ability to work in diverse teams and across cultures and mobilize others to contribute to projects;
•    Proactive and pragmatic attitude with a strong hands-on, getting-things-done mentality;
•    Passionate about communications and pro-active.
